El Hijo / The Son // 2020

#HoracioQuiroga #blackandwhite #time #experimental #rainforest

The Son is a short film based on a story by the writer Horacio Quiroga. It is a story that takes place in the jungle of Misiones, northeast of Argentina.

It's a story about trust and fear, about doubt and fortitude, it's a story of a father teaching his son to shape his own destiny although this entails in itself an enormous tragedy.

Album: NO LAND // 2020

Buenos Aires, Argentina

These sounds and atmospheres are the memory of a past life that seems already far away, the memories of an ancient trip doomed to change again and again. But they are also the nostalgic memory of what will come, a wanted shipwreck that is assumed as an inevitable destiny. The music manages to turn the hourglass over and over again, and stop it, and turn it upside down, and again stop it... There is a time machine inside each of us. Time is now my homeland.
