Inspiration
The Circumcision is a one-minute microfilm inspired by Lou Reed’s haunting track "Harry's Circumcision" from his album Magic & Loss, created shortly after Reed’s passing. This piece is a brief yet intense exploration of identity, memory, and the body, channeling the surrealist aesthetics of David Lynch, Andrei Tarkovsky, and Luis Buñuel. Through fragmented imagery and dreamlike pacing, the film evokes a poetic meditation on pain and transformation—both physical and emotional. It serves as a visual requiem, paying tribute not only to Reed’s music but also to the surreal traditions of avant-garde cinema.
